Within Retail Management, your training and development will take a variety of forms:

Structured Induction Programme

No matter which role you join in our business, you will receive a bespoke induction, providing you with the opportunity to work and learn with people who our passionate about our brands to deliver the ultimate shopping experience on the high street.

Your induction programme will cover essential business elements to run one of our stores, but with tailor made sections depending on your level of experience. This will be supported by your Area Trainer and Line Manager.

Reviews

You will have regular reviews with your line manager to keep you on track with your progress including, 3 month progress check, 1:1 coaching sessions, development reviews and annual appraisal. These reviews will help you to understand your strengths and development areas to build into your Personal Development Plan.

Retail Management Competencies

We encourage you to take ownership for your learning and development to reach your potential. On joining our business you will be given Retail Management competencies - which provide a framework of behaviour and technical statements of competence expected. Each level is progressive and viewed as a building block to the next level, highlighting specific areas for personal development.

Our training is both on the job as well as a combination of management workshops and training courses. Your Line Manager and Area Trainer will offer you continued support throughout your career in Topshop Topman.
